Megan’s love for agriculture started with home grown tomato plants in mid-coast Maine. After moving to Chicago, she graduated from the Windy City Harvest program offered by the Chicago Botanic Gardens, which provided extensive training in urban agriculture. Coming to the ranch was a great opportunity to see full scale agriculture work in the majestic mountains around Ashland.
Megan is also a classically trained chef, as well as having experience in teaching children cooking and nutrition through Common Threads, a non-profit education program in low income areas. The Crest offers a chance for her to put all her skills into action.
