The Crest is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that relies on donations to support our programs and give community groups the chance to experience the wonders of nature to learn about and feel a connection to the natural world.

Lanita Witt Memorial Scholarship Fund

Your donation will help students and campers visit the ranch for educational programs offered through The Crest.

Community cooperation and assistance was of prime importance to Lanita, who died December 15, 2022. Scholarship support allowed her to attend college, then medical school at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, support she never forgot.

Join the community of supporters who are strengthening students’ connection to Farm, Forest, Water, and Each Other. This revolving fund will provide transportation and scholarships for students attending Summer Enrichment Programs at The Crest.

Scholarship Fund

General Donation

We rely on donations to run our organization and our programs. We appreciate every dollar we get.

$50 covers the summer camp registration fee for 1 student
$150 covers the cost of a school group to participate in a farm tour
$500 pays for a week of summer camp for one student
$1,000 for your name on an engraved stepping stone leading to a wall tent in The Crest Village
$2,000 covers the entire cost of the bus to and from camp for one week (transporting kids from throughout the valley)

Our hats are made locally and feature The Crest logo beautifully embroidered on the front. Also, while supplies last, you can commemorate the first two years of the annual Turtle Trot with a certified organic cotton long or short sleeve t-shirt. They make terrific gifts!

Volunteers Make Our Work Possible

We welcome all levels of involvement and help at our programs and events. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please fill out the form below. We will get back to you with a volunteer agreement and put you on our volunteer list. You will receive monthly updates for volunteer opportunities. Sign up for as many as you wish. All we ask is that you give us at least 24 hours notice if your plans change.
