Nature Day Camps

Exploring Willow-Witt Ranch

Summer Programs in the Time of Pandemic

After the success of our 2020 summer camps we are happy to announce that, in accordance with safety guidance provided by the Governor’s office and the Oregon Health Authority, The Crest at Willow-Witt will offer weekly Nature Day Camps for the summer of 2021. Nature-based programs at The Crest are held outdoors at Willow-Witt Ranch, enabling physical distancing. We will require all participants to wear masks and follow recommended hygiene measures.  We will provide safe and engaging summer activities for Rogue Valley families in need of affordable care for their children.

Camps will be offered by the week. All programs will be limited to 15 or fewer participants, first-come-first-serve. We may have the ability and space to offer additional classes if the first camp is filled. Each group will remain together for the week with one teacher and one assistant. All programs will follow the guidelines listed here. Please familiarize yourself with these guidelines.

About Our Camps

Campers will immerse themselves in our ancient forests and volcanic geology, biodiverse wetlands, and growing organic farm. We will explore the varied 445-acre property while playing games, telling stories, hiking, adventuring with goats, studying turtles and birds, collecting eggs, harvesting food and so much more.

Families may sign up for as many weeks as they wish, first-come-first-serve. Camps will run Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 3:30pm; parents may drop off campers as early as 8:30am. We are also offering after-care from 3:30-5:30pm for no additional charge.

Transportation via bus will be provided this year through a generous grant. We will pick up and drop off every day from The Expo, Talent Truck Stop, and Rite Aid in Ashland. Specific transportation details will be sent out prior to camp.

Your camper should come prepared to get dirty! Campers should wear sturdy shoes, long pants, shirt and a jacket or sweater; please bring along a change of clothes. At registration, families will be provided with a list of items for camper comfort. Parents will be required to supply a healthy lunch in zero-waste containers for their child; The Crest will have snacks available for those who need extra nutrition or forget food.

The Crest camps will run for 10 weeks this coming summer June 21st-August 23rd.

Groups by Ages will be as Follows:

Turtles: ages 6, 7, and 8
Note: 5-year-olds will be considered based on willingness and ability to spend the day exploring outside!

Camp Costs:

$320 per camper with 25% non refundable deposit due at registration. The remainder is due 7 days before the start of camp. Online payment is required at time of registration unless requesting financial assistance.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

The Crest at Willow-Witt has implemented the following cancellation policy based on the time, resources and staffing that go into planning a camp.  We cannot recover these expenses if you cancel; cancellations on short notice also prevent others from attending.

If you cancel for any reason:

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the first day of camp will receive a refund, minus the 25% non-refundable deposit.
  • Cancellations or transfers made 7 days or less prior to the first day of camp, or after the start of a program, are not refundable.  Early departure will not be refundable.

Oops Policy: You have 48 hours from the time of purchase to cancel your registration with no penalty. Cancellation must be requested prior to the start of the program.

COVID Policy:  If, for any reason, new safety guidance from the Governor’s office and the Oregon Health Authority affects our ability to run camps safely, we will provide a full refund.
