Willow-Witt Ranch is looking for people to join their team! There are exciting opportunities available for an Operations Manager and Farm Hands. If you’re passionate about sustainable agriculture, animal care, and working with a dedicated team in a beautiful setting, these roles might be perfect for you.
For more information on the job openings and how to apply, visit their website below. Don’t miss the chance to be a part of something special!
Our Winter Footprints program was a snowy success! We had a wonderful time exploring the tracks left behind by local wildlife at Willow-Witt Ranch.
Participants of all ages joined us for an educational hike, where they learned about animal tracking and winter adaptations. We discovered goat, deer, turkey, grey squirrel and rabbit prints and spent time observing the unique ways animals move through winter landscapes.
A special thank you to all who braved the snow to join us! Your curiosity and enthusiasm made this event truly memorable. Stay tuned for more exciting programs in the coming months, we can’t wait to share the wonders of the outdoors with you!
As the forest warms for our exciting spring and summer activities at Willow-Witt Ranch, we’re looking for passionate individuals to lend a hand! Whether you’re interested in helping with our garden preparations, assisting with community events, or supporting our educational programs, we’d love to have you spend time on the land.
Volunteers play a crucial role in making our events and programs a success, and your time and energy help us create meaningful experiences for the community. No matter your capacity, every bit of support is appreciated! If you are interested, please see our Volunteer page.
Are you looking to bring nature-based learning to life? Join The Crest and Vesper Meadow Education Program for a unique opportunity to create an immersive, hands-on learning experience with Highland Connections. Come join us for an open house to explore field trips and other education opportunities.
Open House Details:
Date: Thursday, April 10th, 2025
Time: 10 AM – 2 PM
During the event, learn about field trip opportunities with our Education Teams.
The Crest: Students will engage in sense-of-place activities as they tour the farm, forest, and wetlands of Willow-Witt Ranch. They will meet goats, participate in biodiversity scavenger hunts, and engage in hands-on stewardship. Contact Liz at education@thecrestatwillowwitt.org to schedule a field trip to Willow-Witt Ranch.
Vesper Meadow Education Program: Students will experience a beautiful wet meadow setting and learn about the connections that tie our community to place. Through an indigenous perspective lens, students will engage in land stewardship activities and reflect on healing both the land and human relationships. Contact Stasie at Stasie@VesperMeadow.org to schedule a school day or weekend group field trip to Vesper Meadow Restoration Preserve.
We can’t wait to show you how we’re connecting youth to the land!
This is how you can support The Crest through recycling returnable cans and bottles:
The Crest receives the return funds. Everyone wins!
BottleDrop Give is at Risk – Act Now to Protect It!
The Oregon Legislature is considering HB 3940, which proposes a beverage sales tax as part of a plan to fund wildfire defense. This could harm the BottleDrop Give program, which has helped nonprofits across Oregon raise over $5.5 million in 2024 alone by recycling bottles and cans.
A beverage tax would increase costs for Oregonians and threaten the funds nonprofits, like ours, rely on. We need your help to keep this program intact!
Here’s how you can make a difference:
Together, we can protect BottleDrop Give and the vital funds it provides for nonprofits across Oregon!
Thanks to funding through the Measure 99 Outdoor School Initiative, The Crest has built heated, covered ADA-accessible wall tents at the gorgeous Willow-Witt Ranch that can hold up to 60 campers. The rental of the off-grid campground includes the use of a lovely, updated outdoor kitchen, a tent camping area, a bathhouse. Gender neutral bathrooms and a nurse’s station are completed and ready for use!
We would love to share this wonderful resource with other organizations/groups who are looking for a safe, inclusive, wilderness site to host camps and events.
Rental rates are based on a sliding scale. Visit The Crest Campground page for more information and to contact us about renting the off-grid campground for your group or organization.
