6th Annual Turtle Trot
Sunday, June 15, 9AM
Our 6th Annual Turtle Trot trail race fundraiser is happening Sunday, June 15th. The first race starts at 9 AM with a Prize ceremony at 10:45. Breakfast will be available from 10 AM till Noon.
We are seeking volunteers for an array of work throughout the event starting at 8:30 AM and ending at 1 PM. If you’re inspired and available, please use this form to indicate what tasks you are interested in and what time frame works best for you.
Volunteers will get a free T-shirt and breakfast!

The Crest Fest 2025
Sunday, June 22, 1-6PM
Admission: $20 for adults, $10 for youth ages 6-16, and free for children 5 and under. Nature Day Campers get free entry. Tickets are available online on our website and at the Music Coop (cash purchase only) at 268 E. Main Street in Ashland. All event proceeds support The Crest’s mission to cultivate the integral connection between humans and the natural world.

The annual Crest Fest is right around the corner, on Sunday, June 22nd! We’re seeking volunteers for an array of tasks throughout the event.
Volunteer will be entitled to a lunch voucher to our delicious food vendor Sultan’s Delight and other goodies.

Nature Journaling Workshop
Sunday, June 29th, 1PM
Join us on Sunday, June 29, from 1:00 to 3:30 PM at Willow-Witt Ranch for a peaceful afternoon of nature journaling in collaboration with Elisa Friedlander, LMFT and founder of Ink to Insight, LLC.
Together, we’ll explore the art of observation, reflection, and expression through guided prompts and quiet time in nature.
We’ll have a limited number of benches and ground pads available for seating, but you’re encouraged to bring a camp chair if that’s more comfortable for you.
Please bring your personal journal or notebook and writing utensils. We will have some available if needed.
This event is open to all levels of writers and nature-lovers. No experience needed! Just bring your curiosity, something to write with, and a willingness to slow down and connect.
Please note that Willow-Witt Ranch is a working farm with Maremma livestock guardian dogs. No dogs or pets are allowed. Thank you!

From June 16th through August 1st, The Crest offers seven, week-long nature immersion camps for students ages 6-11.
Children will engage in service learning, activities, play games, tell stories, hike, adventure with goats, collect chicken eggs, study turtles and birds, make crafts, perform garden tasks, and so much more.

As the forest warms for our exciting spring and summer activities at Willow-Witt Ranch, we’re looking for passionate individuals to lend a hand! Whether you’re interested in helping with our garden preparations, assisting with community events, supporting our educational programs, lending a hand in the outdoor school cookhouse, or helping with administrative tasks, we’d love to have you spend time on the land!
Volunteers play a crucial role in making our events and programs a success, and your time and energy help us create meaningful experiences for the community. No matter your capacity, every bit of support is appreciated! If you are interested, please send us a note on our website using the button below.
A big thank you to the small group of volunteers that came out last weekend to help us plant The Crest pine garden! This will provide produce for summer campers and amazing educational opportunities for all of the youth visiting the Ranch this growing season!

- Email us asking for blue bags & tags to fill with your recyclable returns. We will get those to you at your convenience.
- Take your full blue bag into any local deposit center with our tag on it.
